St. Mark’s Church, on High Street, Mosborough, is hosting a Christmas Tree Festival this coming weekend for charity.
The event begins on Friday with the church’s traditional ‘Carols by Treelight’ service, which begins at 6.30pm and is open to all.
A coffee morning will be held on Saturday morning at 10am, alongside stalls catering to the whole family and refreshments.
On Sunday morning, a service will be held at the church at 10am, followed by an evening concert by Sheffield Folk Chorale – starting at 6.30pm.
The church has invited schools, businesses, groups, other churches and societies to get involved and display their own personalised trees within the church.
Sheffield Folk Chorale will choose the tree they think is best and the sponsor of the winner will decide which charity the proceeds will be donated to.
After the festival, the trees will remain in the church until Friday December 9. Tree decorators can then either remove their tree, or it can be auctioned off and the money raised added to the charity fund.
